A Level Business Studies

Whatever you do in your professional life, the chances are that it will involve some element of business. Business is a practical subject where you need to ‘get out there’ and investigate real businesses. You’ll need to collect, analyse and interpret information, share and promote ideas, problem solve in imaginative ways and much more! The practical nature of the course will give you many skills that both employers and universities are looking for. So why not give it a try?

What can this course lead to?

Business Studies courses are among the most popular choices at university. It is a highly regarded subject by universities and gives you a range of skills that are transferable between many subject areas. The course gives you a good grounding for the workplace or even for setting up your own business. The course would give you a good introduction to further training in areas such as Accounting, Marketing, Personnel and Retailing.

UNIT 1 & 2: Coursework

UNIT 3: 1hr exam

UNIT 8&9: Coursework

UNIT 15: 1hr exam.

Minimum entry requirement

5 grades A*-C at GCSE to include Maths (Higher Paper)
