Achievement for All

PTFA

The Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA)

King’s PTFA is organised and run by an enthusiastic and friendly group of parents, carers and teachers. Our aim is to raise funds which we then donate to the school to enhance the experience of all pupils.  Fundraising events and activities are planned and organised at committee meetings which happen approximately once per half term, we then ask volunteers to help run the events. Requests for funding from the school are usually submitted by staff and discussed by the committee at the meetings, we then vote on whether to approve the request.  It is a great place to find out what is happening at the school with the Headteacher and Deputy Head for Student Support also attending the meetings.

As a registered charity we are obliged to elect officers.  Our 2024 – 2025 committee officers were voted in at the September 2024 AGM, they are:

•    Charlotte Ferguson and Bex Ledger (Joint Chairs),
•    Lisa Gray (Secretary)
•    Roz Mullin (Treasurer)

We recognise that everyone is busy and are therefore realistic about what we can support and organise, we try to keep the focus on being a relaxed and enjoyable group that are there to ease some of the financial burdens currently being experienced by the school.

We always welcome new members and if you think this might be for you please do get in touch: ptfa@thekings.devon.sch.uk
